The
ATS Head office premises in Belbroughton, Worcestershire were
completely devastated by a wall of water that crashed through the
building, destroying everything in its path on Saturday 6th September.
Rain had deluged the area for several days.
Yet,
thanks to the speedy action and round the clock hard work of the ATS
team, the entire operation was relocated to alternative premises and
systems were up and running within 72 hours.
Steve Boon, Managing Director said
“As soon as we knew what was happening at the office, the priority was
to salvage as much equipment, furniture and operational gear as we
could, however little could be saved.
“Our
emergency plan was activated so everyone knew what our operational
priorities were - ensuring that down time was kept to the absolute
minimum and that client projects were un-disrupted.
I'm
very pleased and proud of the way we've handled this crisis and it
serves to demonstrate that the hard work ethic and team management
skills of all staff are a key driver in the success of our business.
Our clients can safely say that they “didn't feel a thing” in terms of
this disaster!”
Steve had been in the offices just a couple of hours before the tidal wave hit. He said,
“It
was unbelievable to see the amount of destruction caused in just a few
moments and although we've lost at lot of valuable equipment and
property we're just glad that there was no loss of life which had it
happened during the working week was a very real threat.
Thanks
to our thorough recovery plans and routine back-up procedures, we were
able to get systems up and running and back to business as usual -
despite the destruction around us!”
